Time Out Guide

Getting a drink in London has never been so fun, or so fashionable. Some of our favourite places have a had a fantastic make over in the past few years and a real buzz has built up around them

  1. M’s Bar – Owned by the pale and lovely Ms Drew Lane, this little slice of heaven is in London’s fashionable Soho. Show casing the latest artistic creations from some of the world most avant-garde designers, not to mention an open minded and often intoxicated crowd of regulars. Well worth a stop if you’re in need of a quick drink
  1. The Torture Gardens – Run by the London’s answer the Andy Warhole, Peter D’Vicroey the Torture Gardens are perhaps not to everyone’s taste, but certainly “tres chique” in the area of 50 shades and floggers-for-housewives this bar is more of a lifestyle choice than a hangout joint. The City’s finest come here to spend money, get laid and make sure they remember it all in the morning
  1. The Fading Rose Club – Deep in the heart of Knightsbridge, this little hangout boasts a relaxed ambiance, quite and secluded booths, soft leather, and warm candles for those who want to have a private evening together. Well worth checking out. Contact pierrelacourt@lasombra.com to book at booth
  1. Rush, Rush – As the name suggests some of the clientèle here are of the up and coming self starter set who haven’t simply opted to stay where they were born. Young men and women looking to make new connections, try new things and perhaps make a buck or two along the way hang out here in great numbers. Well worth dropping into if you’re looking to liven up the evening. Email micheal.brujah@deliveredtoyoudoor.co.uk for booking details
  1. Quick Nip – A slightly run-down bar by Waterloo station, this is worth a quick look for anyone in need of a late-night or early morning pick me up, if only because of the immense noise the club’s sound system can generate, and pounding techno brought in direct from Berlin. Open minded, cheap and with a fantastic place to visit pre-dawn to reaffirm one’s humanity. No need to book, but to avoid the queues have a quite word with the bouncers
